Panopticon

Scheming Minotaur

Defeated the Gelatinous Cube with minor scrapes. During the fight, overheard a conversation in the other room.

Entered the room and saw some masked, well trained, well equiped guards in a room with a desk and maps. Someone had just left the room after concluding a deal.

The minotuar bodyguard of Lord Atai was bloodied and escaped the conflict with his life.

Gnoll Chieftan with a lion skull headress was killed during the fight. Lots of scars and tattoos. Found the historians notes. A contract written in abyssal.

Search of the rest of the crypt, found 8 vampires sleeping during the day and staked them.

Loot: A magical flail with dragon heads on it. Flesh-seeking Heavy Flail +2.

XP: Level Up to 3

A Restored Birthright
We made a new friend in the Crescent City

Our fourth and final encounter in the ancient tombs brought us face to face with members of The Ruby Order, led by, of all things, an imp. We made short work of the two human henchmen, but the imp’s tiny crossbow put a terrible gash in Kel-Das’s side. Using a combination of brute melee force and several magic missile and spell attacks, the tiny terror was eventually subdued.

Many of the tombs were overturned, their contents savagely desecrated by members of The Ruby Order. Among these were a shield and charred plate armor, bearing the family heritage and birthright of Lord Nesbitt. Amidst the rubble was a Staff of Missile Mastery, which Lorne will no doubt put to good use.

Lord Nesbitt was greatly relieved that we were able to recover these artifacts, rewarding us for recovering some family treasures, and inviting us as guests to a grand banquet in our honor. His restored birthright will undoubtedly translate into improved access to many of the upper caste society members, ultimately aiding in our quest to unravel the mysteries of The Crescent City, and this strange world.

A Noble Calling
No, there's nothing down there...

Hired by a noble of the city, we venture into his crypts for proof of his lineage to maintain his position against political rivals.

We encounter a group of skeletons and promptly smite them. As we venture further into the tomb, we discover a secret passage leading down a forked tunnel. After springing a trap in the left fork, we attempt the right fork and encounter a group of hostile melee and ranged units. By luring them into the pit, we were able to avoid the majority of damage from exploding bone shards and flaming missiles.

The left fork contained a similar complement of goons, but our quick initiative and well-aimed strikes meant that no trickery was needed. A quick search of the room revealed an enchanted shield, and though useful to our party, it was not the one sought for, with the family birthright.

The Godslayer

We awaken in a tower, drained of our strength and magic. Met by a strange herald, attacked by fish-folk and lost at sea for weeks. We travel through some mists and arrive in a Crescent City built on a mountainous peninsula.
